顺序很重要：先有网、再有支付、然后才是买票。跳过前两步，后面每一步都会卡。 Order matters: connectivity, then payments, then bookings. Skip the first two and every later step gets painful.
开通国际漫游或激活境外 eSIM；也可在机场柜台凭护照买一张中国手机卡。同时在 ATM 取 500–1000 元现金备用（走银行柜台或 ATM，别在私人换汇窗口换）。Activate roaming or your travel eSIM, or buy a Chinese SIM at an airport counter with your passport. Also withdraw ¥500–1000 in cash from a bank ATM — use bank counters or ATMs, not private exchange booths.
用护照 + 境外手机号注册，完成实名认证，绑定 Visa / Mastercard。然后在便利店试扫一笔 10 元，确认能扣款再继续。同时下载高德地图并收藏酒店与景点。Register with your passport + foreign phone number, complete real-name verification, link a Visa/Mastercard. Test with a ¥10 scan at a convenience store before relying on it. Install Amap and save your hotel and sights.
核验可能需要 1–3 天，别等到抢票那天。同时把接下来几天的景点预约做了（故宫、兵马俑、莫高窟等）。晚上用大众点评找一家评分 4.5 以上的店，体验一次扫码点餐。Verification can take 1–3 days — don't wait until ticket release day. Book your attraction slots too. In the evening, find a 4.5+ rated spot on Dianping and try QR ordering once.
在 12306 买好跨城车票（没票就挂候补）。在支付宝「出行」里开通所在城市的乘车码，试坐一次地铁；叫一次滴滴，熟悉上车点怎么选。Book intercity trains on 12306 (join the waitlist if sold out). Enable the city's transit QR code in Alipay → Transport, ride the metro once, and take one Didi to learn how pickup points work.
这时你已经有了网、支付、地图、车票与预约。剩下的只是玩：扫码租共享单车、点外卖回酒店吃、用微信小程序买景区票。You now have connectivity, payments, maps, tickets and bookings. The rest is just travel: unlock a shared bike, order delivery to the hotel, buy attraction tickets inside WeChat mini-programs.

Yes, with the right tools. Metro systems, airports and major sights in big cities carry English signage; Amap has an English interface and partial English POI search; the 12306 app has an English version; DiDi does too.
真正会卡住的是「扫码后的中文小程序」。建议：把酒店和目的地的中文名截图保存，需要问路时直接给路人看；下载一个离线翻译 App（微信自带的翻译、百度翻译都够用）；学会「这里」「多少钱」「可以扫码吗」这三句。
The real blocker is the Chinese-only mini-program behind a QR code. Screenshot your hotel and destination names in Chinese and show them to people; install an offline translator (WeChat's built-in translate and Baidu Translate both work); learn three phrases: "here", "how much", "can I scan?".
不是必须，但有会方便很多。注册 12306、滴滴、共享单车、部分景点预约都需要接收短信验证码，境外号码多数可以收到，但偶尔会被拦截。
Not required, but much easier. Registering for 12306, DiDi, bike share and some attractions needs SMS codes; foreign numbers usually receive them but occasionally get blocked.
折中方案：保留境外号收验证码 + 落地买一张中国流量卡或开通境外 eSIM 上网。联通、移动、电信在机场都有柜台，带护照即可办理。
A good compromise: keep your home number for SMS codes and add a travel eSIM for data, or buy a Chinese data SIM on arrival. China Unicom, Mobile and Telecom all have airport counters — passport is enough.
在未接入国际网络的普通网络环境下，这些服务无法直接访问。请通过你所在运营商的国际漫游 / 境外 eSIM 等合规渠道解决，并遵守当地法律法规与网络管理规定。
On a standard domestic connection these services aren't directly reachable. Use your home carrier's roaming or a travel eSIM — whichever you choose, follow local laws and regulations on network use.

法定货币，商家不得拒收现金，但实际生活中扫码是绝对主流。建议带相当于 500–1000 元人民币的现金作兜底，主要用于：路边小摊、寺庙香火、景区小门票、共享单车押金、网络故障时的应急。
Cash is legal tender and merchants can't refuse it, but scanning dominates daily life. Carry ¥500–1000 as a fallback: street stalls, temple donations, small attraction tickets, bike deposits, network outages.
大额现金可在银行的 ATM 用境外卡直接取现（走银联 / Visa / Mastercard 网络），机场与商圈 ATM 密度很高。
For more cash, withdraw at a bank ATM with your foreign card (UnionPay / Visa / Mastercard). ATMs are everywhere in airports and shopping districts.
入住酒店必须出示护照原件并做登记；务必确认酒店可接待外宾（有涉外资质的酒店才能登记境外护照）。住朋友家或民宿时，按规定需到属地派出所办理住宿登记，酒店一般会代办，民宿房东也可能协助——自行住宿请主动询问。
Hotels must scan your passport at check-in — always confirm the property can accept foreign guests. If you stay with friends or in a homestay, regulations require registration with the local police station; hotels handle this for you, and many hosts will help. If in doubt, ask.

第一次建议 8–12 天，走「北京（4 天）→ 高铁 → 上海（3 天）→ 飞/高铁 → 西安或成都（3 天）」这条线，三种中国面貌各看一遍，高铁把城市串起来也就 4–6 小时。
Plan 8–12 days for a first trip: Beijing (4) → high-speed rail → Shanghai (3) → flight or rail → Xi'an or Chengdu (3). Three very different Chinas, and the rail legs are only 4–6 hours.
如果只有 5 天，就只选一座城市 + 周边，不要贪多。中国太大，跨省移动本身就要花掉一整天。
